Thursday is an alcoholic's Friday, so you might as well party like it's the weekend tonight. Who actually does work on Fridays anyway? The only problem is that if you live where I do, it has been raining incessantly for the past week, making any kind of outdoor activity quite difficult. Sam Bankman-Fried, the 32-year-old founder of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for committing massive fraud. Who would have thought? The most fraudulent-sounding business of all time really was. Now if only other forms of financial fraudsters faced similar consequences we might actually get somewhere. Sam claimed that he never realized what he was doing was illegal, but as one tweet here points out, "Ah well. It was tough." I'd say committing massive fraud for years without being found out indicates you knew exactly what you were doing. His viral girlfriend has yet to face sentencing.
